About Me

My name is George Kresse. I have worked with youth in Morris, IL for over 25 years and in Guatemala missions since 1999. For several years I was the Youth and Missions Pastor of My Father's House of Prayer. As the title says, I had a dual focus. For several years I also worked as an electrician. When I am in the States I can usually be found at the Christian Youth Center of Morris working with our Jr and Sr High students. We have programs designed to build relationship and to teach teans the need that each of us has for Jesus. Until 2013, this occupied most of my free time for 10 to 11 months a year. Since then it has been cut down to about 2 or 3 months a year
Since 2013 missions has been my primary focus. I have been involved in participating in and leading missions trips to Guatemala for several years. We have taken over 100 people since 1999. In 2013 however, instead of taking teams, I began living much of the year in Guatemala and serving as the team host. Now I spend my days living and working with numerous teams each yearI work with Iglesia Evangelica Galilea in San Lucas, Sacatepequez. It is about 20 miles from the capitol and the work is spread out over about a 50 mile radius from there.
This Church has a great group of pastors and workers that work 10 to 12 hours a day. My role in this team is to transport and work on site with our visiting teams and to spend my free time with them to answer their questions and to help them with any needs that might arise during their stay with us.
